What a Year it’s Been

One week until my 21st year of life comes to an end and my 22nd year of life begins.

Wow.

What a year. I thought I’d start this blog post off with a few highlights from the past 12 months.

1. Being a Resident Advisor at UW-Stout

Hey Rachel ❤

Last, but definitely not least.

5. Traveling abroad to study in Greece

What better way to wrap up my 21st year of life than by living in Greece.

5,554 miles away from home and most of my friends.

Great.

Not really.

I’ve always been one to celebrate my birthday though, whatever the circumstance. I like to think it’s a pretty big deal. That’s why my 1/4, 1/2, and 3/4 birthdays are celebrated as well.

No joke.

In case you have no idea what I’m talking about… Think January 4th, April 4th, & July 4th.

And I used to think the fireworks were just for me…

As for my birthday celebration this year, I have no plans yet. Usually I don’t have any problems making plans or deciding what to do, but something this year seems off. Almost like I’m not quite ready.

It’s probably the fact that there are no pumpkin spice lattes to drink, pumpkin patches and apple orchards to explore, or bonfires to sit around while enjoying s’mores.

Oh, well.

I guess the only thing I’m really looking forward to about this birthday is not having to travel half way across the world for a nice glass of wine anymore.

Yep, that’s it.

So, feel free to wish me a ‘Happy Birthday’ next Wednesday, or hmu with any birthday celebration ideas that don’t involve the wonders of Autumn in the Midwest. I’ll definitely appreciate it.

Because they don’t exist here.

Side note:

You’ll never top the best two birthday texts from last year tho.

Buena suerte.

Pretty sure that’s Spanish.

Ttyl.
