Change, Not the Money Kind

Many of you who know me are aware that I like change. Some may say I thrive on it. It’s not that I’m uncommitted, but I am simply someone who loves change, whether it’s personal, physical, or mental.

The physical change is pretty obvious with my hair choices…

I like to think that change is good for a person, especially mental change. It means you’re growing, getting better. I sometimes take it to the extremes however, with changing personalities and changing living environments continually every 3-4 months. But I like it. It’s fun to try new things, like rearranging my room on a weekly basis.

This does have a point to it, I promise.

My point is, even with my liking of change, I’m not ready to leave Greece.

I’ll have to at some point I suppose, because I’m writing this in the airport.

I feel like I’m leaving a small piece of me behind.

Let’s just hope it wasn’t my stubborn attitude and sassiness. I rather like those.

Looking back at the last four months, I have learned so much at the American College of Greece – Deree, traveling across Europe, and immersing myself in a new culture. I am so thankful for the opportunities taken, wonderful experiences, and friends made.

Especially the friends made.

That being said, I guess heading home from studying abroad is not the end for me, but just beginning. I am excited to see where my life travels to next.

Hopefully nowhere near Wisconsin…

Greece will always be full of amazing memories and adventures. I am counting down the days until I can return.

Goodbye for now, not forever.

❤ Emma
